Thin Cold Cut-to-Length Line
THIN COLD CUT-TO-LENGTH LINE
The Thin Cold Cut-to-Length Line is one of the processing lines used at our facility to increase our stainless steel production and service capacity. The primary function of this line is the precise cutting of thin stainless steel sheets, enabling the material to be processed into the required dimensions and prepared for subsequent manufacturing operations.

Main Feature of the Cut-to-Length Line
The primary feature of this line is that it is specifically designed for processing stainless steel sheets. Unlike conventional cut-to-length lines, the cutting process is performed without the application of high temperatures. This cold processing method enables stainless steel sheets to be cut into thin plates and stacked efficiently. The material processed on this line is supplied in coil form.

Operating Range of the Cut-to-Length Line
To ensure the efficient operation of the line, which consists of leveling, coil uncoiling, and stacking sections, the material must comply with the specified operating parameters. Accordingly, the stainless steel coil used on the line must not exceed 20 tons, as the maximum capacity of the coil uncoiling unit is 20 tons.

The leveling section is responsible for flattening the stainless steel coil before processing. For this reason, the material thickness must not exceed 3 mm, while the maximum material width is 1600 mm.

Units of the Cut-to-Length Line
The Thin Cold Cut-to-Length Line processes stainless steel coils into thin plates through a series of integrated units. Each unit performs a specific function within the production process. The line consists of the following units;

  • Coil Uncoiling Section
  • Guillotine Shearing Section
  • Leveling Section
  • Stacking Section
  • Pit Loop Section
  • Cut-to-Length Section

These integrated sections enable stainless steel sheets to be processed into thin plates quickly and efficiently. Since the entire process is automated, uneven cutting and material waste are minimized.

Technical Specifications of the Cut-to-Length Line
The general specifications and capacity parameters of our Thin Cold Cut-to-Length Line are as follows:

  • Coil Uncoiling Unit with a capacity of up to 20 tons
  • Servo Pit Loop System that determines the required cut length from the coil with a tolerance of less than 1% and feeds the material to the guillotine shear
  • Six-roll leveling system capable of leveling BA, painted, and coated surfaces without causing surface damage
  • Stacking Unit that stacks the cut sheets onto pallets, ensuring that both the long and short edges form neat and uniform packages
  • Leveling Unit capable of uncoiling and leveling stainless steel sheets up to 1,600 mm in width and 3 mm in thickness. It is equipped with an electronic control system that compensates for thickness variations across the width of the coil. The six-roll leveling system ensures accurate leveling without damaging BA, painted, or coated surfaces.

Advantages of the Cut-to-Length Line
One of the primary advantages of our Cut-to-Length Line is its ability to perform cold cut-to-length processing. In addition, producing material in the form of thin plates enables customers requiring thin stainless steel sheets to obtain products that precisely meet their requirements.

Furthermore, the six-roll leveling system allows stainless steel coils with different surface finishes to be leveled effectively. Suitable surface finishes include painted, unpainted, and BA surfaces.

Since no heat is applied during the cutting process, there is no risk of heat-related damage to the finished product. In addition, the precision cutting process minimizes surface imperfections, resulting in stainless steel sheets with a smooth and refined appearance.
