Tax Rumors in the Stainless Steel Industry Stir the Market
Prices in the stainless steel market have started to rise even before the conclusion of the ongoing anti-dumping investigation. Market sources indicate that, in anticipation of a possible 25% additional duty, some companies have reduced their sales and begun holding inventory.

The anti-dumping application submitted by the domestic producer Posco Assan TST concerning products originating from China and Indonesia continues to be closely monitored across the industry. Meanwhile, Talha Özger, President of EVSİD, drew attention with his statement: "No additional duty should be imposed on raw materials that are not produced in Türkiye."

Amid these market rumors, stainless steel prices have increased by approximately 10%. Industry representatives expect the investigation, which is anticipated to be concluded by the end of the year, to have a significant impact on both the supply chain and production costs.
